As we work together to eliminate homelessness, we will then have a greater opportunity to eliminate the many other physical, mental, social, and spiritual illnesses that come as a result.
The Community Outreach is compelled by the Gospel to share hope and provide tools for daily living and stability in finances and housing. We are uniting the community to end homelessness by helping families achieve restored hope and self-sufficiency through accountability, education, partnership, and support. We provide working families in crisis with resources and support with rent, deposit, utility assistance, case management, and transportation assistance (bus passes and gas vouchers).

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House provides safety, shelter and life-saving resources to people who are experiencing homelessness. Through case management and connections to collaborative resources we help guests overcome barriers to health care,employment and stable housing opportunities. We provide separate shelter space for women, men and families. Meals are served everyday. Guests have access to laundry, showers, telephone and computers. We are Open Doors and Open Arms to people in need.
Union Gospel Mission is a Christ-centered emergency shelter in downtown Sioux Falls. We provide shelter, food, clothing, discipleship classes, chapel services, support services, and much more for both our residents and the community. UGM’s mission is to care for the needs of the community with compassion while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
Glory House is a residential and outpatient addiction treatment program that serve low-income individuals, providing treatment at no cost. Glory House also offers affordable housing with 76 drug and alcohol free apartment units. The mission of Glory House is helping people claim their lives with Christian compassion, resources and support.
Center of Hope exists to walk alongside people to promote physical and spiritual health, and ultimately change our community one life at a time. Center of Hope encourages and mentors people by offering the hope of redemption through Jesus Christ. We focus on holistically addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of individuals through meaningful relationships and accountability. In partnership with community organizations, we ensure our guests receive the care and support they need in a dignifying and empowering manner.
The Salvation Army of Sioux Falls serves individuals and families across Lincoln and Minnehaha counties by providing essential support such as meals, emergency assistance, and community programs. Through initiatives like their weekend feeding programs, they help ensure access to basic needs, especially during critical gaps in service. Their work is made possible through strong partnerships with local businesses, volunteers, and donors. Together, they continue to make a meaningful impact on the Sioux Falls community by offering hope and practical help to those who need it most.
Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership is a community based non-profit organization which serves primarily low-income families and senior citizens in a 14-county area of East Central South Dakota. We administer a variety of programs supported through grants, donations, and other community resources to assist participants and their communities. Our vision is to have sustainable communities where children, families, and individuals reach their full potential.
Call to Freedom’s mission is to serve those impacted by human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, and we do this through providing survivor-informed prevention, intervention, and restoration services, delivering a safe exit from human trafficking and a continuum of services tailored to each survivor’s journey. Affordable housing is critical for trafficking survivors because safe, stable housing is often the difference between freedom and being pulled back into exploitation.
Southeastern Behavioral Health is one of 11 Community Mental Health Centers in South Dakota providing mental health and substance use services to over 6,000 children, families, and adults. We provide individual, group, and family therapy as well as case management, substance use services, crisis support, mental health and chemical dependency assessments, medication management, psychiatric services, employment assistance, and assistance with obtaining housing.
Health Connect of South Dakota is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting individuals and families to health and safety resources. Through partnerships, outreach, and community engagement, Health Connect helps improve access to vital services across South Dakota.
The Helpline Center is a trusted resource in South Dakota connecting people to support, hope, and essential services. Through confidential listening and referrals, they help individuals navigate life’s toughest moments. Their programs promote mental health, strengthen communities, and save lives. Focused on compassion and access, the Helpline Center ensures no one has to face challenges alone.
Minnehaha/Lincoln County Human Services: Offering hope and encouragement through the delivery of responsive services to individuals and families of Minnehaha and Lincoln County. We provide financial assistance for emergent needs (evictions, utility disconnects, funerals) combined with a variety of supportive services such as case management and housing navigation, to help create a structured plan that helps individuals, veterans and families overcome barriers to achieve stability and self-reliance.
The Sioux Empire United Way: We address many needs across the community. Needs that are ever present in our four-county service area of Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, and Turner. Sioux Empire United Way's mission is to lead, sustain and nurture a unified, effective response to community needs. Contributions stay local, benefiting 33 communities in the four county area of Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha and Turner.
